How do I check if I'm registered?
What is the Bib Mailing Add-On?
We will not mail shirts or medals. The bib mailing add-on is only available for shipping addresses within the U.S.
How can I change my race distance?
Runners without bib mailing will have until Tuesday of race week to change their distance online and receive the correct bib at Packet Pick-Up. The change distance form is at the top of this page. If you change your distance after Tuesday, you will need to visit the Solutions table at Packet Pick-Up to receive the correct bib. .
We do not charge an administrative fee to change your distance. There is no charge to go down in distance, but if you choose a longer distance, you will need to pay the difference between the distances.
What is your refund policy?
Entry Fees will only be awarded as race credit if the event were to be canceled prior to September 18th, 2024. All fees and associated costs (including optional product purchases, spectator tickets, and donations), paid in registration for this Event are not refundable for any reason under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, and/or event cancellation.
If you are unable to attend the race, you can defer your registration for credit towards a future Capstone race.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
How do I defer my registration to next year's event?
From 5/29/24 – 9/18/24, runners will be able to defer their registration for a fee of $10.00. Runners will receive race credit for the amount they paid at registration (minus handling fees).
The deferral window closed at 11:59 PM 9/18/24. No exceptions to this deadline will be made.
Please note that you will receive race credit for the amount you paid for your registration that you can apply to a future race. You will not automatically be registered for next year’s race.
When is packet pick-up?
- Friday, September 27th : Southampton Intermediate School gym in Southampton, NY from 6 – 8:30 PM.
- Saturday, September 28th : Race Day Packet Pick-Up will be available at Southampton Intermediate School gym from 6 – 7 AM.
Please note that there will not be a Thursday Packet Pick-Up in NYC.

If you purchased a parking pass, you can park at Southampton High School (141 Narrow Ln, Southampton, NY 11968). You will receive a separate mail with parking details. If you selected bib mailing, your parking pass will arrive in the mail.
If you are picking up your packet on Friday in Southampton, we will have your parking pass with your race bib.
If you are picking up your race bib on Saturday morning you will not have your parking hangtag in hand before you need to park, please use the email to access the parking lot on race morning.
Parking at the school is free for Packet Pick-Up on Friday, September 27th only.
I bought a parking pass; where do I pick it up?
If you purchased bib mailing and a parking pass, your parking pass will also be mailed to you before race day.

Where can I view a map of the course and see the course elevation?
Is there a time limit?
- The time limit for this event is 6 hours (1:30 PM), which is a 13:43 minute mile pace for the marathon.
The half marathon and 5k will also utilize this 6 hour time limit, as they share the same roads.

The cutoff time is determined by our event permit, which permits us to use the roads, police support and other city resources for a specified period of time. After the permitted period ends, roads will reopen and we will no longer be able to provide participants with critical course support, including road closures, police and medical coverage, hydrations stations and course markings.
- When the course closes at the cutoff time, any remaining participants must move off of the roads and onto a sidewalk. Anyone who decides to utilize the course route before or after the permitted time will not be considered an active participant and must follow pedestrian laws. Participants who do not meet the cutoff time will not receive an official time.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
What kind of hydration / food will be available on the course?
Runners are strongly encouraged to bring their own hydration source on race morning as they run along the course.
Porto-Jons will be available at every water station along the course
Are pets allowed on the race course?
However, service animals as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Should you decide to run the race with a service animal, please email your information to info@hamptonsmarathon.com Runners with ADA service animals will be placed in the last corral behind individual runners for safety purposes.
Are pets allowed in the post-race area?
Animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of tasks. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
Where should I park on race morning?
What is your weather policy?
It is your responsibility as a race participant to follow instruction from race officials and law enforcement in regards to inclement weather. If you disregard instructions from race officials, you are doing so at your own risk.

How do overall awards work?
Overall award winners will be announced at the finish line at approximately the following times:
- 5k winners: 9:00 AM
- Half Marathon winners: 10:00 AM
- Marathon winners: 12:00 PM
