Event Details
- Date: January 20, 2024
- Start Time: 10:30 AM
- Start & Finish: On the field of the Joe ballpark! Located at 360 Fishburne St
- Route: The Charleston Youth Run will be approximately 1/4 mile starting and finishing on the ball field where the post race party takes place for the half marathon and 5k.
- Distance: Approximately 1/4 mile.
- Support: There will be course volunteers keeping our participants and spectators safe!
- Time Limit: The Charleston Youth Run is a family friendly run, and we welcome walkers and runners of all experience levels.
- Age Limit: There is no age restriction. If younger than 7 years old, an adult must accompany the child on the course. Strollers are not allowed.
- Waiver/Release: All participants must sign the waiver in order to participate.
- Race Swag: Each child participating receives a finisher medal after the race and participant shirt.
- Post-Race Party: Enjoy a family fun area with refreshments, activities and live entertainment.
The Peyton Moore Spirit Award
The traveling trophy will be awarded to the school with the most Youth Run runners.
- Youth Run Award: A purse of $600 is distributed among the top three schools with the most spirit and school participation.
- 1st place: $300
- 2nd place: $200
- 3rd place: $100
T-Shirt Design Contest
The 2024 Charleston Youth Marathon® T-shirt Design Contest will be open for entries October 25 – and we can’t wait to see what you come up with for this year. Check out the information below for more details, including prizes!
T-shirt Design Contest Guidelines: All t-shirt designs must be original artwork; PDF files will need to be submitted. The contest is open to all Berkeley County School District (BCSD), Charleston County School District (CCSD) & Dorchester School District Two (DD2) students.
Email submissions to bailey@engagingcreativeminds.org. Submissions are due November 15th!
