Course Information

Date: Saturday, March 5, 2022

Location: All distances will start on Robert Grissom Parkway just South of the intersection of Grissom Parkway and Monticello Drive.

Myrtle Beach Marathon:

Start Times: (There will be no corrals in 2022)

  • Wheelchair and Crankchair at 6:55 AM
  • Marathon & Half Marathon at 7:00 AM
  • 5K at 8:00 AM

Time Limits: 

Marathon: 1:30 PM

Half Marathon: 10:20 AM

5k: 10:20 AM

Hydration Stations

We strongly encourage you to bring your own hydration packets to the 2022 event. Hydration station locations for each distance are listed below:

  • Marathon: Miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (GU) , 11.5, 14, 16, 18.5, 21 (GU), 23, 25
  • Half Marathon:  Miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (GU), 11.5
  • 5k: 1.5

All hydration stations will have Port-O-Potty’s. Gu will be offered at Mile 10 (Half and Full) and Mile 21 (Full Only).

Medical Stations

Grand Strand medical will be activating on site at the 2022 Myrtle Beach Marathon. There will be medical support at the start and finish line as well as on course at the following miles: 8, 11.5, 14, 18, & 23

We highly encourage all of our runners to bring their own water packs to stay hydrated throughout their run.

***Please note: The Myrtle Beach Marathon 5k start line has moved to the Marathon and Half Marathon start on Robert Grissom Parkway.

All medical coverage will be provided by Grand Strand Medical Center, Horry County EMS and Myrtle Beach Fire Department. There will be medical stations at each start and finish area for all distances. Horry County EMS will provide two ambulances and one ATV to patrol the course.

Half Marathon: Miles 5, 11.5
