How do I check if I'm registered?

Please email info@hamptonsmarathon.com and tell us your first name, last name, and email address you registered with. If you think you are already registered, please check with us first!

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Sorry, we do not allow transfers from person to person.

What does it mean that there is no in-person event for 2020?

Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and with the support of our partners, all in-person events for the 2020 Hamptons Marathon & Half have been cancelled. The 2020 race will now be a virtual event.

What does it mean that the 2020 Hamptons Marathon & Half is now a virtual event?

A virtual race allows you to enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of a race while practicing safe social distancing. You can run at your convenience and wherever you like. For more information on the virtual event, please visit this page.

What if I registered BEFORE the cancellation on June 15, 2020?

You have the option to run the virtual event or defer your registration to 2021 or 2022. You will automatically be registered for the virtual event and do not need to take action. If you would rather defer your registration to 2021 or 2022, you MUST submit this form by July 31, 2020. [The deferral form is now CLOSED.]

I want to run the virtual event and was already registered BEFORE the cancellation on June 15, 2020.

Great! We’re happy that you’ve decided to join us! To run the virtual event, no action is needed at this time. Your 2020 swag will be shipped at a later date to the address you indicated on your registration form. We may contact you in the future for confirmation of your address. If you purchased a parking pass, the proceeds will still be donated to charity to help our community.

I do NOT want to run the 2020 virtual event and was already registered BEFORE the cancellation on June 15, 2020.

No problem! You can defer (move) your registration to the 2021 Hamptons Marathon & Half at no charge by completing this form here by July 31, 2020. [The deferral form is now CLOSED.] 

What swag will we receive for the virtual event?

You’ll still receive the amazing Hamptons swag that you love like a medal, shirt, buff and bib! Swag will be shipped at a later date to the address you indicated on your registration form. Please note: We can only ship to US addresses.

When will I receive my swag?

Your swag will be shipped to the address you give on your registration form and must be a US address to be eligible for shipment.

If you register by October 1, 2020: Your swag will be shipped by October 2.

If you register October 2 – 15, 2020: Your swag will be shipped by October 16.

Can I receive a refund instead?

No, our refund policy is still in effect. When all runners registered, each individual acknowledged and agreed to the following:

“Fee Refunds: I understand that all fees and associated costs (including optional product purchases, spectator tickets, and donations), paid in registration for this Event are not refundable for any reason under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, and/or event cancellation.”

We have worked hard to try to provide enough options that will allow our runners to still enjoy the Hamptons race that they love and continue to support the community.

How do I defer my registration?

 

Please see below for our deferral process for future events.

If you were registered for the Marathon or Half Marathon BEFORE the cancellation of the in-person event on June 15, 2020:

You can defer your registration to the 2021 or 2022 Hamptons Marathon & Half by filling out the form here. You MUST submit the form by July 31, 2020, otherwise you will automatically be registered for the 2020 virtual event. [Please note that that deadline has passed and the form has now closed.]

 

If you were NOT registered BEFORE the cancellation of the in-person event on June 15, 2020:

Step 1: There is an administrative fee of $20 to defer your registration for credit to a future race. The deadline to defer your race entry is 7 days before the event. You can defer your registration for credit by filling out the deferral form here. Once you defer your entry, credit will be applied to your email address. Please note the amount of credit you receive is equal to the amount you paid at registration (excluding handling fees).

Step 2: Deferring your race entry does NOT automatically register you for a future event. To use your credit, you must sign up for an upcoming Capstone race using the email address associated with your credit. The credit will automatically be applied at the time of your registration.
